Global VideoRoaming traffic grows by 33% from Q4’12 to Q1’13

New Service Providers and MCU1.com boosts growth in business video calling

May 28, 2013: OSLO, NORWAY: Media Network Services (MNS), the leading provider of Open Business-Class Video Conferencing Network reports 33% growth in Global VideoRoaming traffic from Q4 2012 and Q1 2013.

The 33% growth in Global VideoRoaming traffic from Q4 2012 to Q1 2013 is seen from both existing and new service providers embedding their video conferencing services with VideoRoaming. The growth is seen across several VideoRoaming functions used by Service Providers and their customers including VideoRoaming Point-to-Point, VideoRoaming Distributed TURN and VideoRoaming MCU (MCU1.com and other MCUs managed by Service Providers on the VideoRoaming service).

“Being able to differentiate their business video conferencing services have turned a number of service providers and technology startups to MNS”, says Hans Fredrik Johansen, CEO of MNS. “Service Providers and Enterprises are looking for ways to combine the quality on their existing closed managed networks and exchanges with the openness and reach of Internet as Bring Your Own Device and Business to Business video communication require a new approach. VideoRoaming combines it all into one integrated service that Service Providers and others easily can embed in a service, software application, hardware codec or infrastructure.”
